Occasionally, with materials that have a long lead in time or are in short supply, suppliers or subcontractors may request payment upfront for materials that do not arrive on site for months. You need to make a payment to secure the materials in order to aid cash flow but want some security in making the advanced payment.

To do this, use a Vesting Certificate to certify that ownership of the goods will transfer to you upon payment or on an agreed date.
